COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The Intermountain Power Authority is committed to being a good neighbor to our fellow Utahns. This includes regular updates to municipal and county governments, civic organizations, non-profit groups and updates to the media.

The project along with its partners and contractors are working to:

  • Ensure that communication respects the diversity of the community. 
  • Foster collaboration and partnership with community organizations. 
  • Empower the community through information and resources and encourage active participation.
  • Provide transparent and accurate information about impacts and mitigation measures in a concise and understandable manner. 
  • Establish channels to encourage dialogue and feedback.
  • Maintain long-term engagement with the community and update the community on progress.
  • Use clear, accessible language while avoiding jargon and technical language.
  • Utilize a variety of communication channels to reach different segments of the community including visual aids, infographics, maps, and other interactive tools to simplify complex information and convey information effectively across different literacy levels.
